XMas Survey

Everyone seems 2 be doing the Xmas survey so thought I would participate as well!

1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate? Never really tried Egg Nog but it just sounds wrong...unbelievably enough...my son LOVES it! Let's see...where were we? Oh...Hot Chocolotate!

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? He has ALWAYS sat them under the tree! Santa doesn't get much sleep and is a VERY busy guy!

3. Colored lights on tree/house or white? This is our first year ever for white lights on the house. I got a lot of grief from my family but HEY it won us 3rd place in the lighting contest this year!!!!! We have always had the multi-colored crazy lights on the tree

4. Do you have mistletoe? What's the point? Never even seen mistletoe!

5. When do you put up your decorations? Traditionally, the weekend after Thanksgiving

6. What is your favorite holiday dish? Not sure if this counts as a dish but it wouldn't be Xmas without my Mom's Xmas Wassle (or however the heck u spell it)

7. Favorite holiday memory as a child: I have several. For some reason the first one to pop into my head was the Xmas Eve we went to my Grandma's house (about 2 hours away from where we lived at the time) I always looked forward to going to Gram's house on Xmas eve. We drew names and I always did pretty good. My birthday is on Xmas and that never was forgotten with my family. Anyway, this year in paticular, when all the gifts had been handed out and it was time to say our goodbyes, the weather had gotten REALLY bad. It was blizzard like conditions and we tried to brave it but after listening to my Mom scream "IT'S SUICIDE!" We headed back to Gram's and spent the night. I always liked staying there. I know we went home early the next morning but for some reason, I can't remember a single thing we got from Santa that year!

8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa: What truth???? I still believe!!!

9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? We have started a new tradition now that I have gotten older, we open them all on Xmas Eve and Santa comes in the AM.

10. How do you decorate your Christmas tree? Whatever I can get on the tree without it falling over. My favorite decorations are those that the kids have made at school.

11. Snow! Love it or Dread it? LOVE to look at it, don't love driving or being in it!

12. Can you ice skate? Haven't tried since I was in grade school and if my memory serves me correctly..I wasn't good then either!

13. Do you remember your favorite gift? Of course, well gosh...I guess I have a few. The year I got Sally (it was a life size doll my Mom made...we had matching outfits and everything). I LOVED that doll. Better than anything money could have bought. It was very special to me. Also, the year Santa brought me all the New Kids on the block dolls and the stage and the bedding and pretty much everything imaginable....that was a pretty darn good Xmas too!
