The Rain

Oh the joy of it all! It has been raining for 3 days here and our roof leaks. Well it leaks really bad in my office and Dean has fixed it once. So the dumb bunny gets up this morning and says "Honey u have a leak!" OH????? They he proceeds to put his hand up against the ceiling which stuck to his hand!!! DUH!!!! I am supposed to be the dumb one in this relationship!!!! There isn't room for 2. Sooooooo now I have to sit here all damn day with water leaking into a bowl beside me. As time goes on I am really considering buying a new house. We always said we were gonna fix this one up and build onto it. Dean is very good with tools but he just needs someone to help him do stuff and I think that is why it just gets put off. His dreams are to build a new roof on this house. Well it isn't even considered a house it's 2 trailors that Dean put together but it's big enough we call it a house. Dean's problem is he starts something and NEVER returns to finish it. I believe the only room that is completely finished is our bedroom. I would have to check for certain! LOLL This room as u can see. The ceiling was never entirely spackled. Which is probably a good thing cuz now it needs new sheet rock as well. Our bathroom is done. I forgot about that but the kids' bathroom needs lots of things done to it. The ceramic tile (which looked pretty but was not practical for as much traffic as our hallway gets) is all cracked. I am not sure rather we should replace it with tile or attempt to carpet it. I feel like I am sitting at Niagra Falls here!!! LOLL My Mom always told me that hers and my Dad's sense of humor is what got them by all the hard times they had. I truly believe that. They just had bad luck all the time. Everywhere they turned. Dean and I are kind of the same way but I have a better sense of humor than he does! LOLL

We will get by and in time we will decide what to do with this old place. Part of me would just like to buy a new house and leave this behind. But I LOVE the location of this house. We are very close to the school and we have a HUGE yard and lots of trees. Dean has lived here for years and he has planted most of those trees. They are very sentimental to him. Not sure I could ever take that away from him. Soooooooo we will probably end up fixing up this old place. Not sure I want to be tied down to a house payment for 30 years anyway!
