DAY 7 (KENNEDY SPACE CENTER)

We're here!!!! KSC! I was a little hesitant at trading my day @ Sea World that I have dreamed of since...I dunno FOREVER for a day looked @ rockets and space shuttles. The school my children go to was selected to receive a 3 year grant for Nasa. This enables them to actually speak with real astronauts. We even had Roger Crouch come to our school. Andy received a scholarship to go to Space Camp this summer from an essay he wrote. So to say the least, NASA has become a big part of our lives.
Just a replica but looked pretty real didn't it?
I miss the palm trees soooooooooo much. Do I say that in every post???

With 100 degree heat, we welcomed the tour bus rides between exhibits. There were little tvs all through the bus that showed videos as well as the bus driver giving us the 411 on everything we were seeing or about to see.

My favorite was when they were describing what it was like on shuttle launch day. It takes 8 hours to get to the launch pad. The astronauts are escorted by tons of police cars. He joked and said that they were there in case one of the astronauts had second thoughts. LOLLL
Waiting on the tour bus
Inside the tour bus
Looks a little more grown up with her hair back doesn't she???
Kate and the Rocket Man!
This is still breathtaking. This rocket was actually launched into space!!!
Love this picture of my kiddies.
Just a shot of Deans burnt legs from Clearwater beach the day before!
I believe this was taken in the elevator. How cute are we????
This was on the wall in one of the exhibit rooms. I liked it for one reason or another.
We were obvious tourists sitting in the back of the theatre. You would have thought it was the first time my children had worn 3D glasses. Look Closely at how nicely they fit on Andy's head.

And last but not least...a few layouts to sum up our wonderful day @ KSC!!! This first one I used primarily elements from Kim Hill's Patriotic Kit available in the June Issue of BellaScraps Magazine. The Imax movie was probably one of my very favorite memories of KSC. It only lasted about an hour...I could have sat there for 2 more.
Love the way this turned out. I love to use black as my BG because 9 days out of 10, Andy is wearing black. (not because he is depressed but because he is an avid wrestling fan...and most of the Cena/HHH/Stone Cold/Hardy Boys/Undertaker ect...LOL shirts are black)
And lastly...to sum up our stay. This one was created with Laura Burger's new kit Faded Glory. Pick it up today @ her new Gotta Pixel store...You will NOT be sorry!
